St. Lucia is a Caribbean gem known for its amazing rainforests, volcanic peaks, and crystal-clear waters. It recently played host to my husband and I on a much-needed romantic getaway. We opted for an all-inclusive, couples only experience at Sandals La Toc, and it did not disappoint!
Luxury at Every Turn
From the moment we stepped off the plane and were whisked away to the private Sandals lounge, we were enveloped in luxury. The resort itself is breathtaking, nestled between a dramatic hillside and a pristine beach. Our room was a spacious suite with a private balcony overlooking the ocean. It was the epitome of relaxation. The plush king-size bed, oversized bathtub, and daily restocked mini-fridge made it our own little haven.
Culinary Delights for Every Palate
Sandals La Toc boasts what seems to be an endless array of restaurants, each offering a unique culinary experience. We reveled in fresh seafood at beachfront restaurants, indulged in gourmet Italian fare, and savored the rich flavors of Teppanyaki grills. No reservation was ever required, allowing us to dine wherever the mood struck, all included in our stay. Neptunes Mediterranean Seafood Restaurant was my personal favorite. We dined here daily. I recommend the Island Jerk Chicken. It’s the absolute best!
Romance Rekindled
The resort catered perfectly to our desire for romance. We enjoyed candlelit dinners on the beach with the sound of waves serenading us, sipped on tropical cocktails while watching breathtaking sunsets, and even took a private couples massage overlooking the majestic Pitons. The resort offered plenty of activities for couples as well, from snorkeling excursions to sunset cruises. I have dropped some pictures from out sunset cruise here for you.
Beyond the Resort
While Sandals La Toc provided everything we could have desired, we also ventured beyond the resort walls. We hiked through the lush rainforest, a stark contrast to the beachy scenes we’d become accustomed to. The local town offered a taste of St. Lucian culture, with vibrant shops and friendly faces.
We also braved the crowd and went to the Friday Night Street Party. While we had a blast, it is important to note that we did hear stories from other guests about being taken advantage of by locals, so be sure to be careful and aware of your surroundings if you decide to go.
A Perfect Escape
Our stay at Sandals La Toc was an unforgettable experience. The combination of luxurious accommodations, gourmet dining, and endless activities rekindled the romance in our relationship and provided the perfect escape from our everyday routines. We left St. Lucia feeling rejuvenated, reconnected, and with memories that will last a lifetime.

- Pack for all weather conditions – St. Lucia can experience brief rain showers, so a light jacket or umbrella is handy.
- Book any spa treatments or excursions in advance, especially if you’re traveling during peak season.
- Bring comfortable walking shoes for exploring the island.
- Most importantly, come ready to relax, reconnect, and soak up the beauty of St. Lucia!
